I’m not including my own tools/extensions here. This list covers community-built extensions by their incredible developers only.
The Curse of Choices
Choices are a good thing, and choices are beyond plentiful in the world of SillyTavern extensions! The best SillyTavern extensions 2026 has to offer a new user is staggering. This is a fast-growing community, with a ton of helpful plugins out there. That being said, the resources for these kinds of things are a bit slim. They’re mostly relegated to the odd reddit post or some other corner of the internet (which is the whole reason I started RP|Fiend in the first place). So I thought it would be beneficial to do a little round-up of some extensions I found very useful. I may have already written an article on them, which I’ll link accordingly if you want to read more. Also, keep in mind that this is a list of extensions I’ve personally tried. If one of your extensions isn’t listed here, it doesn’t make it any less incredible or useful! Without further ado, let’s jump right into the best SillyTavern extensions 2026 has!
1. Qvink MessageSummarize by.. Qvink!
The problem it solves: Long chats eating away at your context window.
One of the best SillyTavern extensions. The go-to for memory/summarization in the community. As stories grow, tokens balloon fast. MessageSummarize compresses older messages into summaries automatically so the model never “forgets” where things started (until that gets too long too. In that case, you’ve got your hands full!)
-> Read my article on it here!
2. WorldInfo Recommender by bmen25124
The problem it solves: Keeping up with lorebooks. It sucks ass.
Feeds your current chat context to an LLM and automatically suggests new lorebook entries to add. For anyone building long-running narratives with deep worldbuilding, this removes the most tedious part of the process. That way, you can focus on maximizing your GPH (goons per hour). Very important. Also one of the best SillyTavern extensions 2026 has.

3. Landing Page Extension by LenAnderson
Sometimes, you boot up SillyTavern and it just feels a little too… sterile. A sidebar, a list, and you’re off to the races. The Landing Page extension smooths that out by giving you an actual front door: character tiles, recent chats, and a much nicer way to browse your cards without digging through menus like you’re looking for an old W-2 or something.. It’s one of those small quality-of-life things that doesn’t sound huge on paper, but once it’s there, the default setup starts feeling oddly bare.

4. RPG Companion by SpicyMarinara
If you’ve ever been in the middle of a good scene and had to stop to manually remind the AI who’s hurt, where everyone is, or what exploded three messages ago, then you’ll understand the appeal here. RPG Companion adds a bit of structure on top of the usual SillyTavern flow by adding some variables to track. Health, conditions, location-style tracking, that sort of thing. You no longer have to manually remind the model certain aspects of your story. For longer adventures, dungeon crawls, or anything vaguely game-shaped, that extra bit of order can save you a surprising amount of headache and retries.

5. MemoryBooks by ikohaki
This is an alternative to Qvink’s extension for memory management. Instead of juggling one giant, messy memory setup, you can split things into separate “books” and swap them in and out depending on who you’re talking to and what world you’re in. It keeps your contexts clean and your characters less confused and more alive.
-> No article on this one either. Can you tell I’ve been slacking? Check out ikohaki’s GitHub here!
The End!
That’s pretty much it. I didn’t want to make this an extremely long, exhaustive list. Just a few great extensions is enough to get started and vastly improves your experience on SillyTavern. If you want to look for more extensions or different ways to improve your experience, there’s definitely more out there. You can always check back here periodically, as I like to review and write about new stuff when I can. But for now, these five are more than enough to get you started with some of the best SillyTavern extensions 2026 has on tap.
